After crossing the entranceway, guests enter an immense, verdant, and fragrant courtyard where a lemon tree, native to the Amalfi Coast, decorates the ancient walls. The kitchen, dining room, and parlor with its romantic chimney are also on the ground floor, adjacent to the courtyard. Yes, a chimney – for those of you who have never tried it, spending winter on the Amalfi Coast is a romantic vacation with a slow-paced atmosphere fare from the chaos of the city. An air of conviviality emanates from the rustic kitchen, where a large central work table, made from reclaimed wood from the building’s old fixtures, commands attention. The floor, just like everywhere in the house, is made from square terra cotta tiles. The kitchen corner is dominated by a rustic hood decorated with antique copper pots and pans. The atmosphere is rendered authentic by the multicolored Neapolitan tiles that form the backdrop for the stoves. The kitchen opens into the dining room, which is embellished with coral objects that represent the owner’s true passion.
In the dining room, aside from the antique wooden table, there is an eighteenth century Neapolitan sideboard where jam tarts, pastries, and fresh fruit are served for breakfast. In addition to being a place known for its delicious meals, the room is also a place where guests can relax with a book, watch a movie, or listen to music.
After climbing a characteristic staircase which has only become more beautiful over time, guests arrive on the second floor where the bedrooms are located. The enchanting atmosphere that pervades offers guests the opportunity to create unique memories. All the rooms are furnished with refined elegance and sophistication down to the last detail. The style recalls the Baroque Era, and antiques, silks, and carved frames are harmoniously combined with the extraordinary natural beauty that peeks in through the windows and balconies adjacent to the rooms. The discreetly lit vaulted ceiling in each room adds yet another evocative detail in the evening. The Santa Rosa room has a lower level where you will find a bathroom embellished with a Venetian console table and a sitting area with a desk, and a loft with a carved gold leaf bed. The room is characterized by gold and brown colors.
The Sant’Alfonso room contains a rosewood wardrobe, two armchairs, and a bed, all dating back to the eighteenth century and masterfully reupholstered by local artisans. An antique Neapolitan chandelier, beautifully crafted from wrought iron covered in gold leaf, stands out against the walls with hand-painted stripes that give the room an exquisite masculine character.has been selected with utmost care. At the Sunset villa, there is a parking space. (1 car, 2utility vehicles, one in front of the other).
Villa Sunset is composed on several levels:
Villa is accessible by car and there is a parking space within the property for a utility vehicle; through a few steps you reach the entrance of the Villa. There is also a lift to help you with your luggage.
On the ground floor, there is a spacious lounge overlooking the sea with a table and sofa bed, air conditioning, 1 service bathroom with shower, a fully equipped kitchen connected to the terrace where you can spend relaxing moments organising lunch and dinner after the beach, with a breathtaking view.
In the laundry room, you will find a washing machine, an iron, and an ironing board at your disposal.
On the first floor, there is another spacious living room with sofas and sea view, the living room is paved with hand-made majolica tiles, in the characteristic style of the Amalfi Coast. The furnishings are welcoming and comfortable, and include some pieces handmade by local artisans. The furnishings include sofas and armchairs. In this room, you will find a satellite television and a CD player with FM radio. From the living room, you can enter a small patio with sea view through a French window. The room has two large panoramic windows with a view of the sea and the coastline.
A double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom: the room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. You will have direct access to the sea through a platform built on the rocks. You will reach it from the villa by descending a 20-metre (65-foot) path that has been carved into the rocky cliff and includes about 135 steps. The area is equipped with sunbeds and an outdoor shower. Sea access is shared with guests from another nearby villa.
The swimming pool is 10 metres (33 feet) long and 3.5 m (11 feet) wide. The pool area is equipped with a table, chairs and sunbeds. From the pool, you can enjoy a stunning view of the sea. You will share the pool with guests from another nearby villa.
The garden is partially shaded by a fragrant lemon pergola. In the garden, you will find a portable barbecue. From the garden, you will enjoy a enchanting view of the sea.
Within the property, there is another villa that shares the use of the swimming pool and private access to the sea. Both have privacy.
The town of Praiano has a series of beaches, including the only beach on the Amalfi Coast that allows you to enjoy the sun until sunset. The nearby village of Furore, famous for its fjord, hosts a spectacular diving competition every summer.
The Furore fjord is one of the most fascinating geological features of the entire Amalfi Coast. The Furore beach, easily visible from the bridge that crosses the width of the fjord, is located right in front of the ancient fishing village, which has now been transformed into a museum.
The beach hosts a series of excellent restaurants and the Africana, probably the most fashionable dance venue on the entire Amalfi Coast. Due to its position, the beach gets sun only during the central hours of the day.
