San Lorenzo Castle has evidence dating back to 1100 and now, after a complex and
careful restoration, a very private and comfortable villa lives on the pre-existing Castle with a
splendid waterfall pool and suggestive sea view over the Tuscan archipelago: a truly unique
location.
It is very close to Bolgheri, the famous Tuscan wine area, but also very close to the coast, from the
wide garden and its pool you can admire splendid views towards the prospective Elba Island, the
Gulf of Baratti and Corsica.
The structure, of about 700 sqm, is equipped with seven ensuite rooms with extra Kingsize beds: 5
double rooms and 2 rooms with 2 single beds; the bathrooms feature spacious and comfortable
multi-function showers and hairdryers and one of the suites is equipped with a whirlpool bath.
Each room is equipped with HD SMART TV and air conditioning.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the structure.
The kitchen, spacious and functional, has induction and gas hobs, 2 large multi-function ovens, 1
high-temperature electric oven specific for pizza, microwave oven, 2 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators,
freezer, espresso coffee machine.
The outdoor living rooms are ideal for conviviality and a large table for outdoor dining is positioned
near the kitchen; a second table is positioned in another area near the Castle's wall and has a gas
barbecue adjacent. On the opposite side of the building, two pleasant areas with sofas encourage
breakfasts and aperitifs.
The garden, 4000 sqm, is enclosed by the suggestive medieval walls of the Castle and offers
secluded reading corners where to seek privacy and relaxation.
The linear pool with waterfall, enjoys a unique view of the Maremma countryside and the Tuscan
archipelago and around it a large wooden deck is equipped with sunbeds, loungers and seating; a
magnificent oak tree provides natural shade to this area.
There is also another area with a wooden deck with a 6-person whirlpool.
For warm summer evenings, in an area surrounded by the ancient walls of the Castle, a special area,
the "CINEMA UNDER THE STARS" is much appreciated by guests; a large screen with a latest
generation high-resolution laser projector can entertain guests who can project films, sporting or
musical events using the most well-known applications/platforms commonly used such as
NETFLIX, APPLE TV, PRIME VIDEO, DAZN, ROKUTEN TV, Disney +, Now, etc. etc. (as if it were a
smart TV and each guest can easily insert their credentials for the applications according to their
preferences).
The high surrounding walls of the castle with the suggestive original arrow slits delimit the garden,
conveying a pleasant sense of protection that is well perceived walking along the path created
above the walls themselves, both day and night thanks to the LED lighting that creates a
suggestive atmosphere.
Externally to the walls that delimit the garden, there is a large olive grove rich in secular native
olive trees; the olive grove extends to the border with Montioni park which largely surrounds the
Castle's property, guaranteeing absolute tranquillity.
Privacy and relaxation are the peculiarities of this suggestive location.

Location: it is situated on a plateau in the municipality of Suvereto (the town of Suvereto is about 10 km away) in the Province of Livorno, to reach it, it is necessary to travel along a hilly road and the last 2 km cross the protected Montioni Park and are on a white road.
It is about 20 minutes from the town of Venturina where there are bakeries, supermarkets, pharmacies and is about 30 minutes from Piombino from where ferries depart for the Island of Elba.
The beaches of Baratti and Sterpaia, which make the sea view from the garden and pool magical, are just 1/2 hour by car, the same to reach the small and charming medieval towns such as Suvereto, Campiglia Marittima, Massa Marittima, Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri.
Pisa is about 1 hour away, Florence 1 and a half hours.

Weekly stays can start on any day of the week

The price includes utilities (electricity, water, gas, heating/air conditioning).

The tourist tax is not included in the price and must be paid in cash at the end of the stay.

Security deposit: €3,000 upon check-in, which will be refunded upon check-out after checking that
no damage has been caused to the property.

The villa is provided with bed linens and ensuite bathroom towels.
For 7-night stays, linens are changed mid-week and the
bedroom and ensuite bathroom are cleaned.
Pets: Request authorization; small pets are generally allowed.
Pets are not allowed in the pool area.

Events with external guests are not permitted unless otherwise agreed with the property prior to booking.

Extra services can be organised (advance planning is necessary), prices will be provided upon request according to the customer's typical needs such as:

We are available to organise private boat hire for guests for excursions along the coast or to visit the nearby Elba Island, bicycle trips in the surrounding countryside, horse riding, if the guest has interests different from those listed here we are available to accommodate requests.
